What's the best way to practice mock interviews?

I feel like I'm decent at solving problems alone but terrible when someone's watching. Classic interview anxiety.

What are good options for mock interviews?

  • Pramp (free but quality varies)
  • Interviewing.io (expensive)
  • Finding a prep buddy
  • Recording yourself

Which one worked best for you guys? Open to trying anything at this point.

Honestly, I found recording myself to be surprisingly effective. It's uncomfortable at first, but when you watch it back, you pick up on things you didn't even realize you were doing.

I used Interviewing.io and while it's expensive, the quality of feedback is really top-notch. They match you with engineers from top companies, which is a big confidence boost.

For me, a prep buddy was the most helpful. You get to play both roles and learn different perspectives. Plus, it's free if you find a friend or peer!
