Solved the problem but still got rejected - what happened?

Had an interview yesterday where I solved both problems correctly with optimal time and space complexity. Even wrote clean code and handled edge cases. Still got rejected.

The feedback said "did not meet the bar for communication." I'm confused — I was explaining my approach throughout. Is this code for something else?

Has anyone gotten this feedback before? What does it actually mean?

I got similar feedback before! Usually, they mean you might have been too quiet or maybe not structured in your explanations. It's not just about talking but ensuring the interviewer can follow your logic step by step.

I’ve been in a similar situation! Sometimes it’s about how you articulate your thought process, not just solving the problem. Did you actively ask clarifying questions or explain why you chose a particular solution over others?
