Just got a 100% hike by switching - and I feel guilty about it

Went from 16 LPA to 33 LPA by switching companies. My new colleagues doing the same work were already at this salary. Which means I was severely underpaid for years.

I feel guilty for staying so long at my previous company. Also angry that they were paying me half of market rate while billing clients 3x my salary.

PSA: If you haven't switched in 2+ years, you're probably underpaid. The market pays loyalty tax.

Dude, congrats on the hike! I know what you mean about feeling guilty, but tbh, it's kinda part of the game now. Companies don’t think twice about keeping wages low if they can.
