This might sound salty but hear me out. I see LinkedIn posts of freshers getting 40-45 LPA from Google/Uber and it's demoralizing. I've been working for 5 years and my CTC is 20 LPA.

I know comparison is bad but it's hard not to feel underpaid. Should I be looking at switching aggressively? Or are these fresher offers an anomaly?

Also want to understand - are these offers sustainable or will companies reduce fresher salaries?

Switching could be a smart move if you're feeling undervalued. Freshers' offers at big tech might be exceptions, but the market is competitive. Just be wary of jumping ship without clear growth prospects.

I feel you, Vera. It's definitely tough to see such high offers for freshers. Companies like Google or Uber pay top dollar for top talent, and it's also a strategy to attract the best from colleges. Maybe focus on upskilling or switching to a company that values your experience more.

Hey Vera, just my two cents but sometimes those high salaries come with a cost - insane work hours or high pressure. Maybe a more balanced work environment is worth the pay gap?

I've noticed the same trend. Freshers with specific tech skills or who graduate from prestigious schools get those high offers. It might not be the norm elsewhere. Maybe comparing against non-FAANG companies will give you a better benchmark?
